The Town is ready to reopen our Town of Greenfield Dog Park, 1 Line Dr., Porter Corners. There is a new registration process, so stop by Town Hall during business hours (M-F 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m.-3 p.m.) anytime beginning Feb. 1 to get you and your dog all signed up. If these times don’t work for you, please call to set up an appointment! Dogs must be licensed in New York State and dogs and their owners must register with the Town Clerk. Residents with dogs that have a valid license need to sign a waiver/release form. If you do not have license, bring proof of rabies vaccination and spay/neuter status from your vet. Non residents, must pay $20 per dog and bring a valid copy of their NYS Dog License, and sign the waiver/release form. All visitors to the dog park need to sign the waiver form, including children.
The town has installed new gates at the park and signs with the rules. We will also increase on-site monitoring by our dog control team. Officials recommend keeping a copy of your current Town of Greenfield Dog Park registration and proof of current rabies vaccination in your car when visiting. The park will be closed at dusk, and we ask that only two dogs attend per person. We ask that you please remember to bring your dog from the car to the park on a leash and keep the leash in hand while visiting the park as a precaution. We thank you for your cooperation as we fine tune how best to operate this park. It will be a work in progress!
Our fabulous Dog Control Officer and Park Maintenance team have been very busy preparing the park for Feb. 14, clearing snow and even building this new sign-in kiosk below.
